We love the White Mountains of New Hampshire; I grew up exploring these mountains, climbing the cliff faces and paddling in the nearby rivers. We’ve been lucky enough to support many, many weddings at one of our favorite locations: The Omni Mount Washington Hotel at Bretton Woods. The hotel has so much old school charm, with beautiful architecture and facilities, but our favorite part of photographing there is simply the incredible view just out the back door of Mount Washington.

We were thrilled when Maren & Andy contacted us to photograph their wedding last year. Like Malia and I, these two met while attending Bowdoin College… and it only made sense for them to return to New England to celebrate their marriage.

Sometimes we meet couples who are so comfortable with each other, so happy in the moment… that they just forget all about us. This spontaneous embrace is wonderful, with The White Mountains in the distance.

No idea what is going on here. Maybe it’s better that way.
The ever popular photobooth is back… and each time we bring it to a wedding, we’re convinced that we’ve seen it all. But when you put 100 guests in a room to celebrate a wedding, the creative vibes just seem to kick in.
The Photobooth always starts off so sweet…
Then it starts to pick up pace.
And then Captain Creativity appears.
Thank God for this guy. He was awesome.
Once again, a return to something appropriate with the groom’s mom in the center.
Then the creativity sneaks in again… but in a sweet way.
Then a younger brother comes in and just turns everything upside down.
We don’t ask… we just document what happens.

For all the photographers out there: YES, that is a fragile $300 radio trigger that this very enthusiastic guest has accidentally ripped out of it’s protective case. I am trying in vain to get it back from her… but it took a few minutes. So funny.
