Katy & Peter’s New York Yacht Club Wedding in Newport, Rhode Island

When Katy and Peter called and asked if I could photograph their Newport, RI wedding at the New York Yacht Club’s Harbour Court, I said yes immediately. We have photographed dozens of amazing weddings at the NYYC, and it is always the perfect excuse to return home to Newport for a few weeks of summer beauty. I am a Captain, I went to wooden boatbuilding school and have sailed many, many times from the NYYC docks. We were thrilled to fly in from San Francisco for another Newport wedding and to work with such a welcoming and fun group. Peter’s dad just happened to have been on The America’s Cup team in the 70’s. He also built and drove this boat that brought them from the church wedding ceremony to the New York Yacht Club for their tented reception at Harbour Court.
