Brian and Kelly are everything we love in clients: smart, fun, funny, and unique. They planned an amazing celebration at The Mission Ranch in Carmel-By-The-Sea, California that was truly all their own. Their passion for travel, photography, adventure and food allowed them to create a one of kind wedding ceremony and reception that was a joy to document. Enjoy some of the many moments we captured for them!

Kelly looked absolutely incredible. Her dress was especially beautiful and she really wanted to make sure that I photographed the back of it before she went to see Brian for the first time “just in case” it got wrinkled. She’s a smart woman. It got more than wrinkled! (see below for the rest of the story…)

We traveled to a secluded stand of Redwood Trees for their first look, and Brian found this rock with the words “Be A Superhero Today” on it.

Remember Kelly’s idea to have me photograph the back of her dress? Well, during the wedding party group photo, the most adorable golden retriever came by and got wildly excited. He started doing laps around the group and all over Kelly’s wedding dress. Everyone took it in stride, and it made for a great story!

The Mission Ranch Wedding Reception! Kelly & Brian’s love of all things travel was the theme throughout. Beautiful and unique!

These two. This is what a wedding is all about. Enduring love. We caught them holding hands during the toasts. So beautiful.

Brian likes food. We established that. Brian also likes whiskey. Some of Brian’s favorite whiskey tasting friends taught us more about whiskey than we ever thought possible! Thanks for the explanations guys!

We have photographed dozens of private, celebrity weddings… but these two celebrities tried to shut us down like we were paparazzo. No such luck! (Thanks for the laughs!)

Your creativity, energy and willingness to make the day your own made capturing your unique wedding day story so much fun. No doubt re-entry to California from your world travels will be tough, but hopefully looking back through these photos will make the process a little easier!
