Though we’ve photographed hundreds of weddings around the world, few have been as fun as this wedding weekend. Take a Northern California girl and have her marry a Venezuelan guy at the edge of the sea overlooking The Golden Gate. The celebration they created was nothing short of spectacular. Their wedding had the best of all worlds: laid back Californian, combined with a sophisticated elegance and a whole lot of Venezuelan energy and fun. We couldn’t have asked for nicer families. Here’s a bit of their story. Enjoy the photos! They’re all online for you at the link via the end of this post.
Fairmont San Francisco Rehearsal Dinner in The Crown Room. Amazing Views.
More views from The Fairmont San Francisco.
The rehearsal dinner toasts, with the bride & groom in the center.
Getting ready, with Victoria top left, the mother of the groom top right and the Venezuelan tradition of the arras (Las arras matrimoniales) below.
The wedding dress at Cavallo Point and the wedding invitation with rings.
Daniel’s father helping make sure that tie is perfect! And the guys make their way to the chapel.
Victoria getting ready with the help of her mom.
The bridesmaids making sure everything is correct… even the bow in the back.
Victoria on her way to see Daniel before the wedding.
First look just before the wedding.
All sorts of group photos… even the ones they came up with, like hoisting Daniel to their shoulders.
While Victoria went inside to wait for the ceremony to begin, the guys had a fierce bocce ball tournament on the Mission Blue Lawn.
Watching the guests arrive before the wedding ceremony with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.
Almost time! Off to The Mission Blue Chapel! Victoria’s mom is in the red dress. Her mom is great, so fun, so real!
The ring bearers and flower girls doing their thing.
Victoria and her dad walking down the chapel aisle. Daniel’s reaction as she arrives.
Bridesmaids flowers and a ceremony with more than a few laughs.
Unity Candle lighting, The kiss and the reaction once they’re “officially” married.
All done! Walking down the aisle.
We did a great deal of scouting in order to make these photos happen quickly for Victoria & Daniel. Well worth the extra effort!
Cavallo Point Lodge at The Golden Gate is a stunning location for a wedding reception. One of our favorite Bay Area wedding venues!
Family and friends. So important to everyone, so we had the double assignment to not only capture Daniel & Victoria’s story candidly and unobtrusively, but also to document all the those friends and family who mean the most to them. Mission accomplished!
Señora y Señor Loreto above, and their wedding cake with a little advice for the newlyweds from their guests.
The toasts. So much fun to see the love and respect everyone has for Daniel and Victoria.
A wedding day sunset at Cavallo Point Lodge overlooking the Callippe Terrace and San Francisco Bay / Golden Gate Bridge.
Oh man, these people knew how to dance! Great salsa band as well!
Cake cutting, lots of dancing and a few from the Hora Loca. Great night!
We rolled out the legendary Boathouse Studios Photobooth. We have taken the Photobooth all over the world, yet it never ceases to amaze us how creative guests at a wedding reception can be. Well done!
More crazy photobooth photos. The usual suspects.
Complete rehearsal, wedding and photobooth photos are available at the link below and we will post these images to our Facebook Page so you can tag/share these photos with the guilty parties.
So. Much. Fun. The Boathouse Studios Photobooth was a hit again!
Many thanks to all the guests, family, friends and especially Victoria and Daniel for making the weekend so fun. We normally don’t overwhelm our clients with so many photos, but many, many guests wanted family/group photos together, so there are a lot of those scattered throughout your galleries… and don’t worry, we still captured all the candid emotion and fun that we’re famous for. We had a blast and appreciate all the energy and love you put into making this weekend one of a kind. Enjoy your honeymoon!
